+ What is a chargeback?

A chargeback occurs when a credit card holder contacts their credit card company to dispute a charge on their account. Common reasons for chargebacks include:

  • The cardholder doesn’t recognize the charge or recipient on their statement.
  • The cardholder did not receive the product or service.
  • The cardholder was unsatisfied with the product or service.
  • The cardholder’s credit card was stolen or used without their permission.

When a chargeback is issued, the total amount of the chargeback is removed from your account and all collected fees are reversed. These fees include the “per transaction” fees collected as well as the percentage rate.

+ Why was a card declined?

This can happen for a variety of reasons:

  • A mismatch of name and Incorrect CVV, expiration date
  • Zip code mismatch
  • Insufficient funds in the account
  • Unauthorized payments
  • A decline by the card issuer

Sometimes, if a card is used too many times consecutively, the payment will automatically fail for the security of the payer.

+ Why do you need my social security number?

For your security, we verify the identity of each user in order to manage risk and to comply with anti-money laundering laws. If you are an individual or sole proprietor, we will also use your SSN for any required tax reporting. If you are acting on behalf of a corporation or other organization with an Employer Identification Number (“EIN”), we will use the EIN for any required tax reporting instead.

Even if you are acting on behalf of an entity with an EIN, we require your SSN so that we can verify who you are and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the entity. Rest assured, all of the information you enter on is kept safe by our bank-level security measures.

+ Can I accept international credit cards?

Yes, you can accept international credit cards as long as they are a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or an American Express card.
